Sandy brings each original concept to life starting with traditional pencil sketches, before expanding and developing her ideas using modern digital illustration tools. From there, each piece undergoes a meticulous refining process - balancing compositions, perfecting character expressions, and polishing countless small details until the artwork feels exactly right. Every story, humorous moment, and whimsical character originates entirely from Sandy's own creative vision and artistic judgement.

Sixteen years of running Brixham Sewing Box provides a constant, rich source of inspiration. Daily conversations with local makers, combined with a lifelong love of sewing and craft, continue to shape original collections that celebrate the creativity, humour, and simple joy found in these much-loved hobbies.
